An important historical document for students of contemporary reactions to missionary activities in India. This enquiry into the activities of the Christian missionaries in Madhya Pradesh was commissioned by the government of this Indian State in 1954 and published in 1956. Long out of print, it was republished by Voice of India (New Delhi) in 1998 as a 800 page-long volume. “Evangelisation in India,” claimed the report, “appears to be part of the uniform world policy to revive Christendom for re-establishing Western supremacy and is not prompted by spiritual motives.” It attempts to “alienate Indian Christian community from their nation”. – The full text of this document can be found online here.
